THE PROFESSOR’S PERSPECTIVE
University-Level SAT Strategy
I am a career mathematics professor and professional SAT instructor with over 35 years of experience delivering measurable, high-level results.
As a fifth-generation New Yorker raised between the uncompromising standards of Manhattan and the grounded focus of Georgia, my approach is defined by two worlds. Today, I split my time between New York and Atlanta, maintaining an elite standard of academic rigor for families in both markets.
My approach to the SAT is fundamentally different. I do not teach shortcuts in isolation. I teach the underlying mathematical logic, pattern recognition, and strategic frameworks required for top-tier performance. The objective is not just a higher score—it is the development of a disciplined, college-level analytical mindset.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
A Legacy of Mastery
My credentials reflect a lifelong commitment to the mechanics of logic. I hold a Master of Arts in Mathematics (Summa Cum Laude) and a Master of Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Georgia, alongside dual undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Accounting.
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), I bring a level of structural thinking to the SAT that directly translates to success in high-stakes testing. Having designed university-level assessments, I possess a distinct advantage: the ability to anticipate question design and expose the traps that most tutors miss.

THE PERFORMANCE MINDSET
Lessons from the Water and the Slopes
My perspective on SAT preparation isn't just academic; it’s forged through a lifetime of competitive performance. My years as a collegiate swimmer at the University of Georgia served as the primary training ground for the life I lead today. Swimming at that level taught me that discipline is a daily requirement, focus is a non-negotiable state of mind, and the outcome is a direct reflection of the work done when no one is watching.
The Power of the Water Growing up on the beaches of Long Island and traveling the world surfing taught me the true power of the water—it demands respect, presence, and an ability to read the environment before you move. That same intuition applies to the SAT; you must understand the flow of the exam to master it.
Whether I am navigating a technical mountain descent as a decade-long member of the Ski Patrol, or deconstructing a complex function, the requirement is the same: Maintain focus. Execute with precision.

THE PARTNERSHIP
Earning the Understanding
I wasn’t a “natural” at math. I was the student who spent hours in the university library, deconstructing logic until it finally clicked. Because I had to earn my understanding, I know exactly how to help students build theirs.
The goal is an intellectual partnership. My favorite moments are when the dynamic shifts—when we are no longer “tutor and student,” but a team working through problems side-by-side. These exams are simply a gateway; a score is a tool that gives a student the agency to choose their own path.
That is the work. That is the outcome.
